Just as the master builders & thinkers were essential for the development of the city, IT people are now part of the community visionaries who can jumpstart its growth. They have an important role in solving local issues through innovative solutions they can develop. The challenge they are raising can be achieved one step at a time, by building strong interactions between local community and residents.

Over the span of one weekend, ideas are formed and technology solutions are created to solve business of law and access to justice issues. Here, winning teams move on to future rounds, where they can present their solution to an international judging panel.

Organized by the Informal School of IT, Challenge Accepted is a 3 days coding marathon where 15 IT teams create software prototypes that can positively influence the lives of all of us. They dedicate their time, knowledge and experience to one goal: creating an efficient digital world.

Civic Heroes’ mission is to provide talented people with meaningful experiences to contribute to social development, empowering non-governmental organizations to build change. We want to create a more efficient and effective social welfare sector and contribute to a world in which putting yourself in the service of causes above yourself is the norm, not the exception. Teams form around the top ideas determined by popular vote and then start the 54 hour frenzy: business model creation, coding, designing, market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders which means another opportunity for feedback.
