Whether you have a business idea or a skill that is necessary in building a successful startup, Startup Weekend is an event that aspiring entrepreneurs should not miss. Pitching and team building are the main focus on day one, with mind mapping, strategizing and building a real business taking place over the rest of the weekend. There will be knowledgeable and successful entrepreneurs in attendance to inspire, share and help the teams throughout the weekend. The final day is for pitching in front of a panel of judges where real prizes are awarded.
Innovation Labs is an acceleration platform for empowering tech founders to build digital solutions and the future global companies. The program starts with a pre-recruiting phase at the beginning of the year, then the registration in February, the selection 30-hour hackathons which will decide the ideas that will reach the three months acceleration phase. Demo Day is in July, when startups get to do a technical demo and a 3 minute pitch in front of the audience. This exciting event puts on stage the best teams and products, allowing them to benefit from a strong media exposure and an audience of approximately 600 possible partners and investors.
Not only limited to the tech industry but mostly gathering people from it, Civic Heroes connects talented people who want to give their skills to the organizations that need them to accomplish their mission. Organizations can also apply to the program to find professionals who can help them reach their goals.
HackDay Code4Iași is an event put together by Code4Romania under their Tech For Social Good Program. Their mission is to write code to make Romania the country all its citizens want. TFSG is the place where coders roll up their sleeves and develop solutions to social problems. Tech for social good was awarded as the best non-governmental program at the Civil Society Gala in 2018.
