A no cars allowed area, the street today is a hot spot of cafes, terraces, restaurants and bars, all taking advantage of the charming location. You can enjoy large beer gardens including one with a selection of over 300 beers, great food and several smaller artsy locations.
The historic Trianon Cinema and the Union Museum are also on the street, but really every building on Lăpușneanu has its own notable history, as this street has always been a dynamic heart of the city, at the forefront of cultural, journalistic, artistic and business developments throughout the centuries.
This vintage vibe is found today not only in the style of some coffee shops that are stuffed with memorabilia, but also in the Northern part of the street being the epicenter of old books and antiquities sellers.
